Hack your way and win cash

#

By now, everyone should know a little about the hacking onslaught that has been happening around the world. Some hacking groups such as Anonymous, do it for a cause. Others, like LulzSec invade sites just to get in the headlines.

A recently emerged Web site, called RankMyHack.com, seems to be geared more toward bragging rights.

The highscore system, created by a hacker known only as "Solar" (a computer science student in Great Britain), is a way for hackers to claim credit for their attacks. Users can post their feats on the site and are awarded scores based on the difficulty of the attack.

There are even cash prizes to be won.

We weren't surprised that popular sites such as Google and Yahoo were amongst the top hacks. Interestingly enough, the site also hosts hacker duels where two users would compete against each other in digital combat.

Also do note that we do not encourage hacking in any form, be it invading Web sites or cheating in games (we condemn the latter actually).
