Now locking your posts is easy on Google+


Google+ users can now lock their posts or disable comments before they share them, courtesy of the latest update to the social network.

Both options have been available for awhile. Disabling comments ensures that no one can respond to a post, while locking your post completely prevents someone from sharing it as well. But until this week, you could turn on these features only after you had already shared your post with your circles, a rather backwards approach.

Google and Samsung have delayed the arrival of the next, much-anticipated Android smartphone, because of the passing of Steve Jobs.

In a statement today, the companies said they won't be showing off the upcoming device at the Samsung Unpacked event next week during CTIA as had been expected. They are looking for a "new date and venue" to unveil the smartphone, which has been dubbed both the Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus Prime.

"We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product," the companies said in a statement.

Google expected to serve Ice Cream Sandwich on Tuesday



Google is expected to serve up Ice Cream Sandwich--the newest version of Android--on Tuesday at the Samsung Unpacked event in San Diego.

That revelation comes courtesy of the official Android Developers YouTube channel, which earlier today posted a placeholder video titled "Android ICS launch." The site now says, "This live event is no longer available. Sorry about that."

The legend of digital age, Steve Jobs, passes away...



Steve Jobs, the Apple founder and former CEO who invented and masterfully marketed ever—sleeker gadgets that transformed everyday technology, from the personal computer to the iPod and iPhone, died on Wednesday. He was 56.

The world lost a showman, whose flair for the dramatic there was always “one more thing” was as keen as his knack for divining what people wanted before they even seemed to realize it themselves. Apple announced his death without giving a specific cause. He died peacefully, according to a statement from family members who said they were present.

“Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives,” Apple’s board said in a statement. “The world is immeasurably better because of Steve”.
