COD: Modern Warfare 3 campaign, longer than MW2

Modern Warfare 3 campaign will be longer than its predecessors Modern Warfare 2′s single-player story.
In speaking with CVG, Sledgehammer CEO Glen Schofield said that Modern Warfare 3′s campaign length will depend on the player, and it’s noticeably longer than Modern Warfare 2.
“My feeling – and the feeling of most of us – is that it’s longer than Modern Warfare 2,” he said.Modern Warfare 3 is due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 8.

Protecting your Identity



Somebody breaks into your e-mail account and sends phishing spam from your address to everyone in your contacts list. Somebody else steals your online bank ID and password and cleans out all the money in your accounts. And another crook swipes your Social Security number and opens credit card, cell phone, and other accounts in your name.

All three of these crimes fall under the umbrella of identity theft.
Reports of declines in identity-theft incidents from such security research firms as Javelin Strategy & Research and government agencies, such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC's consumer-complaint statistics for 2010--pdf), must be taken with a grain of salt.

Twitter tallies 200 million tweets per day!!


Twitter is seeing extremely strong growth, the company said yesterday.
According to a company blog post, Twitter users are now sending 200 million tweets each day. That figure becomes quite impressive when one considers that in January 2009, 2 million tweets were sent per day. And a year ago, the daily tweet tally stood at 65 million a day.

Samsung Galaxy Note Preview


Samsung has been very busy at the IFA show in Berlin. At its keynote yesterday, the company  announced a 7.7-inch Galaxy Tab, new Bada phones in the form of the Samsung Wave 3, Wave Y and Wave M, which will be running the new Bada 2.0 operating system (OS). 

The highlight however, has to be the new Samsung Galaxy Note that's running Gingerbread (Android 2.3) OS. The handset comes with a stylus dubbed the S Pen which lets you write and draw on the 5.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive screen. The phone also packs a dual-core 1.4GHz processor, which should provide a zippy experience for users.

Antitrust case against Google dismissed

An Ohio judge dismissed a private antitrust case brought against Google by a tiny company that runs an online shopping comparison search engine.
The suit gained prominence because small company, myTriggers, was being represented by Rick Rule and his prominent Washington, D.C., law firm, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Rule has long been a key Microsoft lawyer on antitrust matters.
